Each shipment when sending commercial cargo, requires a commercial invoice and packing list. For goods over the value of $270, a certificate of origin containing the origin of manufacture, created by the local chamber of commerce at origin will also be required. On the portal online under ‘my Intercargo’ it will allow you to request purchase of a certificate of origin. To create a certificate of origin, you will require a commercial invoice and a packing list.
Key things to display on your commercial invoice (Alongside the template found under the download centre): *HS Code *Accurate Weight *Commercial Invoice Number *Original hand signature (electronic signatures/stamps are prohibited on paperwork and will count as copies) All documents are required in original, signed and stamped format at destination for clearance. If the documents are not present at time of clearance, there is an option to put a refundable deposit down until the originals are received within 14 days of arrival of the shipment. A non-refundable fee for processing missing documents will also apply.
